Hot New Hip Hop picked up on another story regarding DaBaby, the 28-year-old rapper who frequently finds himself in trouble with authorities. Despite the fact he’s one of the biggest rappers in the industry at the moment, DaBaby has gotten into trouble with the police repeatedly over the last few years.

A new report from TMZ claims the Blame it on Baby artist and several of his friends called a car service in Las Vegas back in November 2019 and smoked weed inside the van. The driver told them to put out the joint, and this is the moment where the altercation turned violent.

DaBaby, his team, and the driver got into a heated argument about smoking weed in the vehicle. The police report claims DaBaby and his friends began threatening the driver and cursing at him, including telling him that he was lucky he wasn’t in “their city” because they would’ve killed him.

Following their arrival at the Hard Rock Hotel, the driver asked for payment and instead, DaBaby punched him in the back of the head and told him he wasn’t “the boss.” They then grabbed their bags from the back of the van and told him he was lucky they didn’t kill him.

Currently, there’s an arrest warrant out for DaBaby for misdemeanour battery. This means he accrued another charge on his record, and will likely have problems the next time he comes back to the city for a performance.

As it was noted above, despite this altercation, DaBaby’s career is still going well. Earlier this year, he secured another album on top of the Billboard 200 chart. His new record, Blame it on Baby, went to the number one spot after it was released earlier in April.
