Currently, Dakota and Shia are working on the movie, The Peanut Butter Falcon, reports USA Today. Johnson explained that it all felt kind of sad to her and she felt “protective” of Mr. Shia. Dakota believed the arrest ended up being an important turning point for Mr. LaBeouf.

The Peanut Butter Falcon is the latest movie from both of the aforementioned stars, and it revolves around a man with Downs syndrome who breaks out of the home where he was being cared for.

On his journey, he befriends a fisherman, portrayed by Shia, and they go on an adventure together so the man can become a professional wrestler. Dakota, on the other hand, who portrayed a social worker, is on the hunt to bring him back to the facility where he had been staying.

In July 2017, Shia was detained by the authorities in Georgia where he was working on the film with Johnson. The star was slapped with charges of public drunkness, disorderly conduct, as well as obstruction. It was his second arrest in 2017.

Earlier that year, Shia was arrested by the police for a fight at his anti-Trump art exhibition in Queens, New York. It was later transported to Liverpool, England. Just a few days after, LaBeouf said sorry on his social media for his behavior, revealing that he was battling addiction.

At the Hollywood Film Awards earlier in November of this year, Shia gave credit to the police officer in Georgia who booked him while he simultaneously accepted an award for Honey Boy, a film based on his life.

Thankfully, LaBeouf managed to use his time in rehab to work on the script for the movie. Shia thanked his therapist and everyone who helped him get better.
