Demi Lovato is standing up for Halsey after she has endured a severe amount of backlash following her Rolling Stone cover.
Halsey has come under for her appearance on the cover of the magazine’s “Hot issue.” It is not that fans don’t think she is hot enough for the cover.
The picture is throwing fans into a frenzy because the singer bared her stubbly armpits. Social media exploded with fans freaking out over the au natural look Halsey went for on the cover, as opposed to baring nice clean-shaven pits.
“I thought you were a millionaire just buy some wax,” wrote ryan._.sd

“They’re called razors, try one sometime,” replied _mickey_stutz_
“Shave” said theoriginalharleyquinn
Along with the stubbly pits, users came at Halsey for being noticeably darker in the picture. She is biracial, her dad is black, and her mom is white. However, that didn’t stop social media from indicating she was culturally inappropriate.
“Someone tells her that she’s not black,” stated wevert0n_
“Cultural Appropriation at its best,” said vychinaski
After watching Halsey’s Instagram become flooded with negative comments, Demi Lovato rushed to the 24-year-old’s defense.
“There so much yes about this picture idk where to start,” exclaimed Lovato with a clapping hand emoji.
The former Disney starlet is all about body positivity, and she was not about to let Halsey continue to be condemned for some stubbly pit hair. Lovato is one of the first people to rush to defend famous young women who are trying to change the narrative.
She praised Bebe Rexha earlier this year for slamming designers who would no dress her for the Grammy’s because she was “too big.”
“F***ing preach!!! Love this and you for speaking your mind and using your voice,” Lovato wrote on Rexha’s video rant.

Halsey has not yet responded to all the backlash over her Rolling Stone cover. Social media is not happy with her unshaven pits.
The fact she has not responded speaks volumes. Halsey is not one to conform to a certain stereotype or identity. She is who she is and proudly displayed that in a gorgeous cover for the magazines “Hot Issue.”
Halsey is getting backlash for posing in a natural look. Then there are famous ladies, like the Kardashians and Jenner’s that are slammed for having plastic surgery.
What did you think of Halsey’s Rolling Stone cover? Are people making much ado about nothing?
