Demi Lovato Will Talk About Near Fatal 2018 Overdose In YouTube Docuseries

Fans of Demi Lovato know she has had a tumultuous ride over the last 2-and-a-half years. Famously, the star was in the headlines back in 2018 over reports that she had overdosed and nearly died. Not long after she was released from the hospital, Demi took to her social media to say that she was going to tell her side of the story someday, and it looks like she’s finally going to do just that.

A report from Page Six said today that Demi is now planning on opening about the incident in an upcoming YouTube docu-series that will explore her life, including not only the good times but the dark times as well. The 28-year-old pop-star said to reporters from Rolling Stone that she was ready to talk more about it.

In a statement to the outlet, Demi shared how it has been two years since she nearly died, and she was ready to “share (her) story with the world.” reportedly, Dancing With The Devil, her new YouTube series, will premiere its first two episodes on the 23rd of March – just two months away.

The first two episodes of her docu-series will also be for free. On her Instagram account, Demi thanked her followers and fans for supporting her through thick and thin. Demi said she was “so excited” to share the story she has been holding on to for so long.

As it was previously reported in 2018, one of the pop star’s assistant found her unresponsive at her home in the Hollywood Hills. They called the paramedics, and she was then taken to the hospital where they had to bring her back to life with Narcan.

Narcan is a drug that medical professionals commonly use to treat an opiate overdose. Demi had to stay in the hospital for a little over a week before she finally went off to rehab again.

Demi has struggled with drug abuse a lot in the past, a fact she has been very honest about. The star explained in one interview that her father had struggled with substance abuse as well, and she always wondered what it was about drugs that made him choose them over his family.
