Diane Kruger Does Not Regret Waiting Until 42 To Have A Baby - Here's Why!

As fans know, Diane Kruger welcomed her and boyfriend Norman Reedus’ baby just last month! Now, the German actress is opening up about the reason why she waited so long to become a mother!

Kruger, 42, gave birth to a baby girl, whose name is yet to be announced, in November of last year.

Diane was married to French actor Guillaume Canet before in her early twenties.

She was also in a longtime relationship with Joshua Jackson from 2006 to 2016!

But despite being married and in a decade-long romance, Diane did not have a child with either of them because she was just not sure motherhood was for her.

During an interview with Net-A-Porter’s magazine Porter, the actress explained: ‘I didn’t think I wanted children for a long time. I was too selfish. By the time I got to about 35 [seven years ago], I thought, yes, I probably do want one. But then you have to wait for the right person to come along.’

She went on to say that ‘I think as you grow older, you learn that things come to you when you’re ready for them. I’m glad I waited. Norman is so calm, and he teaches me a lot, because he has done it before [having a child].’

Diane and Norman met on the set of the film Sky in 2015.

He was involved in a relationship with model Helena Christensen before, and they had a son they named Mingus Lucien together, who is now 19 years old.

It is safe to say that parenthood is not for everyone and that is totally Okay!

But since the woman changed her mind, fans are very happy she got to have a baby after all.
