Kim Porter’s passing has, without a doubt, been hard on her loved ones, especially on her 12 year old twin daughters. But their father, rapper Diddy, revealed that they are really strong and that they are actually the ones teaching him how to properly deal with her untimely loss.

Diddy is on the cover of Essence magazine with his six kids for the May issue and in the interview, he talked about D’Lila and Jessie and their mother’s death.

He recalled that ‘One day I asked them how they’re being so strong. They told me that, in a weird way, their mother had taught them how to deal with death. About 6 years ago, Kim’s mother was diagnosed with stage four cancer and we moved her to Los Angeles. She passed away a year and a half later, so the girls saw their mom deal with losing her mother. Now, ironically, they’re teaching me how to deal with Kim’s passing.’

As fans know, Diddy and Kim were actually not together when she unexpectedly passed away from suffering Pneumonia complications.

They split back in 2007 but they were still close friends as well as co-parents.

That being said, after Kim lost her life, Diddy revealed his regret over the fact that he never married her.

In the interview, he went on to say that ‘Kim was about love and all off that care that she gave us every day, we just came together. It made me proud that even though I did not get married, Kim and I, along with the other mothers of my children, raised a great family. We have a great family. The way we are handling it [the loss] is together.’
