Dina Lohan, the 57-year-old mother of Lindsay Lohan, was arrested Saturday, January 11, 2020, outside of a New York Outback Steakhouse and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI). According to reports, the incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. ET, when Dina had a bit of a fender-bender and clipped a vehicle with her car, but didn’t stop to deal with the situation and instead fled the scene. The driver chased her down back to her home and she was ultimately arrested by the Nassau County Police Department after refusing a breathalyzer. Video footage of Dina Lohan leaving court on Sunday morning is going viral on social media networks. Dina was arrested on charges of leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, driving an uninspected vehicle, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and Driving while Intoxicated.

Saturday’s arrest marks Dina Lohan’s second arrest for DUI or DWI in the past ten years. Dina Lohan was arrested in 2013 after driving 77 mph in a 55 mph zone. She was charged with DUI in the incident.

Dina Lohan is represented by Mark Jay Heller who represented her in court Sunday and said they have entered a plea of not guilty for the charges. He has vowed to fight the case. Dina was released without bail.

Addiction struggles have plagued the Lohan family for years and Dina, her ex-husband Michael, and daughter Lindsay have had their fair share of media scandals. According to TMZ’s reporting, Dina Lohan wasn’t given a breathalyzer as it has been reported she refused.

It appears that Dina Lohan’s strategy of refusing the breathalyzer will set the course of this case. Because she didn’t take a breathalyzer, and it is believed she didn’t submit to any drug testing, the state will have to prove that she was intoxicated or under the influence without any proof and most likely based upon the arresting officer’s and the witness’ word.

What do you think? If Dina Lohan is convicted of DWI it would be a felony conviction.
