About a year ago it was reported that DMX was sentenced to a year in prison for tax evasion. Before this, he was even allowed to play one of his songs in court, in front of the judge as an attempt at mitigation.
But back then, things didn’t work out as he might have planned.
DMX’s sentence came after the rapper entered a guilty plea regarding a tax evasion charge dating back in November 2017.
Now, The Shade Room brings really positive news because it looks like DMX will get out of jail.
‘His official release date was supposed to be on the 27th of January. However, inmates in Federal Bureau Prisons are released early if their release date falls on a weekend,’ TSR writes.

According to TSR, ‘Vulture reports that DMX will be under supervised release for three years once he’s out. His lawyer says that “He’s looking forward to being home. He’s never been hotter than now,” adding, “He’s terrific; he’s been terrific.”’
Someone commented ‘Oh Really?! Somebody is itching for him to get back in the studio. Who called who?!’
Another follower said that ‘I didn’t even know he was in prison the sad part is I wasn’t even shocked when I read he was being released though. 🤦🏽♀️’
Someone else seemed happy about the news and wrote: ‘Welcome home X, stay out for good this time..💜💜Glad to have you back out here.’
One commenter noted ‘Wow. He’s supposed to be appearing at a party in Charlotte NC for the AllStar game weekend.’
