Things have not changed much since Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux parted ways a little over a year ago. Although the couple’s breakup was amicable, they still do not keep in touch – which is exactly what Aniston prefers.

“Jen and Justin have gone their separate ways and really closed that chapter of their lives,” a source explained. “It was a clean break and they have both gone back to their pre-married lives.”

Aniston and Theroux were together for seven years before calling it quits two years into their marriage. The pair announced their breakup in February of last year, telling fans that their decision to get a divorce was “mutual.” After the split, Aniston kept her home base in Los Angeles while Theroux packed his bags and headed to New York.

An inside source told Us Magazine that Theroux loves living in New York and Aniston feels the same about Los Angeles. The source also says that the two do not have a lot of mutual friends and have little reason to contact each other, which is probably why they do not communicate.

When it comes to dating, Aniston is reportedly putting all of her time and energy into her work and friendships. The actress has no interest in dating and is happy being single.

A few months ago, Aniston opened up about her marriages to Theroux and Brad Pitt and revealed that she thinks they were “very successful.” The only reason things did not work out is because Aniston chose happiness remaining together.

A source close to the Friends alum says that she has no qualms about entering her golden years and is more comfortable in her skin now than ever before. She is also happy to see what the next chapter of her life brings, though admittedly it does not sound like romance is a big part of her future plans.

Justin Theroux has not commented on his relationship with Jennifer Aniston and their apparent lack of communication.
