According to new reports, Dog the Bounty Hunter was taken to the hospital due to a health scare, only months after the passing of his beloved wife, Beth Chapman. Apparently, the reality TV star suffered a ‘heart emergency’ and might even need to undergo surgery to fix it!
TMZ was the first to report Duane’s hospitalization over the weekend.
The news outlet claims that the man was taken to the hospital after experiencing chest pain while in his own home.
While it sounds like it, it is not clear if Dog had a heart attack or not at this point in time and the medics are still trying to determine what happened.
The health scare follows the painful loss of his wife, Beth Chapman.
The woman sadly passed away after losing the battle with throat cancer three months ago.
It’s been very difficult on Dog since the two of them had been together for decades and married one another back in 2006.
That being said, he previously admitted that after her death, he struggled to eat, losing 17 pounds in just weeks.
‘I can’t eat. Two bites, I’m full. I got to force feed myself like I force fed her. I never ordered..I’m having a hard time ordering food. …Chewing ice helps, and I’ve lost 17 pounds in about two weeks.’
And that is not all! The man told the outlet that sleeping was a problem as well, saying that ‘I wake up to always touch her, especially when she was sick, I’d have to wake up a few times when she stopped breathing. … So I’m used to that, and I don’t sleep solid anymore.’
Perhaps the painful loss has affected Dog’s health in a pretty bad way at this point, although it might also be unrelated.
