Dolly Parton Is Helping The World Fight COVID-19 As She Is Named Sponsor Of New Vaccine

Dolly Parton plays an angel in the upcoming Netflix movie Christmas on the Square, but is she an angel in real life as well? Fans were surprised when the American biotechnical company Moderna released their preliminary report about their upcoming COVID-19 vaccine and listed as one of the sponsors was the Dolly Parton COVID-19 Research Fund. Dolly’s sponsorship was mentioned along with the likes of the National Institute of Health (NIH), Kaiser Washington and the National Institute of Allergy and Infection Diseases. Dolly donated $1 million dollars to the Vanderbilt University Medical Centre near the start of the pandemic and her donation has helped fund the Moderna vaccine.

Speaking about her donation, Dolly Parton stated the following.

When I donated, I wanted it to do good and evidently, it is! Let’s just hope we can find a cure real soon.

Dolly is widely revered for her charitable nature and giving spirit. She is a true humanitarian who is always looking for ways to help those who are less fortunate. Frequently speaking about her humble beginnings and her large family that struggled for money but was rich in love, Dolly has used her blessings to give back to others.

Dolly Parton’s new movie Christmas on the Square is coming to Netflix on November 22, 2020, and fans are thrilled to see her new film. The movie coincides with the first Christmas album that Dolly has released in 30 years. Her new, Christmas album “A Holly Dolly Christmas” includes some covers as well as originals. Dolly has 14 new songs that will make the soundtrack of the movie including the eponymous “Christmas on the Square” which is also included in the new album.
