Donald Trump Explains Why He Tweeted Conspiracy Theory Video Linking Jeffrey Epstein’s Death To Bill And Hillary Clinton

After news that Jeffrey Epstein had committed suicide started going viral, many people on social media were urging others to be careful and not spread any baseless rumors until anything has been confirmed.

However, that message did not seem to have reached President Donald Trump, who retweeted a post related to a conspiracy theory surrounding Epstein’s death.

The theory linked former President Bill Clinton as well as Hillary Clinton to Epstein’s suicide, and many have pointed out that Trump was acting out of line for sharing posts of this kind.

The original tweet was made by one Terrence K. Williams, apparently an actor, according to his Twitter profile. It is not clear why Trump chose that specific post to share, and whether he has any relations to Williams in the first place.

A lot of misinformation has been spreading regarding Epstein’s suicide, including allegations made in the original post by Williams, who claimed that Epstein had not taken his own life while being on suicide watch.

However, other reports have conflicted that information, stating that his suicide watch had ended nearly two weeks before the man took his own life.

The alleged link between Epstein’s death and the Clintons seems to be related to an even older conspiracy theory, dubbed the “Clinton Body Count,” implying that the two politicians have a heavy-handed history of killing people.

As can be expected, many have mocked the suggestion in the past, and it has continued to receive strong criticism today as well.

That does not seem to have done much to detract people like Williams and Trump, however.

Talking to reporters, the former reality TV star turned politician defended his decision to share the tweet suggesting the Clintons were involved in Epstein’s suicide by saying: “The retweet — which is what it was, just a retweet — was from somebody that’s a very respected conservative pundit, so I think that was fine.”

He added: “I know he was on his plane 27 times, and he said he was on the plane four times. But when they checked the plane logs, Bill Clinton — who was a very good friend of Epstein — he was on the plane about 27 or 28 times. So why did he say four times?”

Trump has succeeded in bringing more attention to the conspiracy theory.
