President Donald Trump has continued to act oddly around his impending impeachment, and some have noted that the POTUS is likely playing this card on purpose to detract attention away from his main problem.

In any case, Trump has made it quite clear that he is not happy with the current situation at all, and he will be fighting tooth and nail against getting impeached.

Trump has also challenged those who have demonstrated support for his impeachment, and this seems to have gone over well with his supporters for the most part.

He has now made the peculiar remark that he is worried about how the impeachment might impact his “résumé,” in a statement that has raised even more eyebrows about his situation.

Many seem confused over Trump’s position on this particular matter, while others have taken this as an implication that the president is worried about his future job prospects in general.

It is also possible that the statement was originally made with a different phrasing, as some have reported that Trump said that a person does not want to have impeachment on their résumé in general.

Still, that has not done much to calm down the people commenting on Trump’s recent statements, and it looks like the president is digging quite the hole for himself with his recent behavior in public.

Some of Trump’s supporters say they hope this does not backfire on his upcoming 2020 election campaign, if he even makes it that far, which is starting to seem questionable in the current situation.

Trump is losing members of his party — Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) said that the president was wrong to ask China or Russia to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden.

He said: “The president should not have raised the Biden issue on that call, period. It’s not appropriate for a president to engage a foreign government in an investigation of a political opponent.”

GOP Sens. Susan Collins (Maine) and Mitt Romney (Utah) have also bashed the former reality TV star.

Collins explained: “I thought the president made a big mistake by asking China to get involved in investigating a political opponent. … It’s completely inappropriate.”

However, it remains doubtful that those Republicans would vote to remove Trump out of office if the House moves forward on the matter.
