The POTUS is once again the target of internet mockery after he called out for none other than Roger Ailes! That’s right – the Fox CEO who passed away in 2017!
As you can imagine, a lot of social media users proceeded to remind Donald Trump that his Fox friend cannot come to the phone for a very good reason – he’s dead!
After making it very clear he was not happy about Fox News hiring former Democratic National Committee Chair Donna Brazile, Trump took to his go-to social media platform to wonder: ‘Where are you Roger Ailes?’
Seemingly, he was expressing confusion over the reason why the CEO let Donna Brazile, who used to be a CNN contributor, join the conservative channel, not realizing that he is no longer alive.
As you might remember, Donna was fired from CNN back in 2016 after Wikileaks revealed she provided questions for primary debates sponsored by the network to people part of Hilary Clinton’s campaign at the time.
That being said, when the news she was hired by Fox surfaced, conservative author Brigitte Gabriel was the first to call out the network by tweeting: ‘Cheater Donna Brazile should not be on Fox News. GET HER OFF THE AIR!’
Obviously, the POTUS just had to join the conversation, posting: ‘She gets fired by @CNN for giving Crooked Hillary the debate questions, and gets hired by @FoxNews. Where are you Roger Ailes?’
This prompted many users to express concern over Trump’s memory, tweeting things like: ‘Can we talk about Donald Trump’s cognitive decline?? Rodger Ailes died 3 years ago,’ and ‘Ailes died three years ago. He was your friend. You really don’t know he’s dead? What planet are you even on, man?’
Seeing the criticism, Trump returned to the platform to argue that he was actually talking figuratively.
‘I know better than anyone that my friend Roger Ailes died 3 years ago, just look at what happened to @FoxNews. We all miss Roger!!!’ he tweeted.
