A long list of people on both sides of the political Spectrum want President Donald Trump to lay off Twitter and to focus on the country he was elected to govern.

Over the weekend, two Democratic presidential candidates bashed Trump, who managed to surprise a few people by retweeting a conspiracy theory that the Clintons played a part in the death/suicide of fallen mogul Jeffrey Epstein who was jailed for sexually abusing girls, allegedly.

Both Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey and former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke lashed out at the former reality TV star- turned-politician for pushing the wild conspiracy theory that claims that Epstein did not kill himself.

Conspiracy theorists claimed a member of former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s inner circle took down the businessman.

While on CNN, Booker said: “What he’s doing is dangerous, he’s giving light to conspiracy theorists and whipping people up to anger against different people in this country,” Booker said during an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union. He is using the same tactics as the Russians to attack our democracy.”

O’Rourke added: “This is another example of Trump using his position to attack political enemies with unfounded conspiracy theories. Trump is changing the conversations so we can’t focus on the real problems that he is part of.”

Nikki Haley, a prominent Republican who worked for Trump, recently asked him to stop tweeting.

After Trump made some seemingly happy comments about the burglary of Rep. Elijah Cummings, he immediately drew a lot of negative attention. Many people have called him out for the remarks already.

Among those was Haley, who immediately jumped in to point out that the statements Trump was making were utterly unnecessary.

Trump’s comments were seemingly sarcastic, making fun of the situation Cummings was going through while also pretending to be supportive of his problems.

The break-in was reported in the news shortly after it happened, and while many have been showing their support for Cummings and have stood by him in this challenging time, a few like Trump took the opportunity to celebrate.

Some have even pointed out that Trump is undermining the authority of his office by engaging in comments like these.

This statement was echoed multiple times from members of both parties.
