According to a report from the Associated Press, Donald Trump is going after Debra Messing on Twitter, accusing the Will and Grace star of racism and requesting NBC to fire her.
Messing had to say sorry to people online after she tweeted a picture of an Alabama church sign which claimed that any black people who voted for Trump probably did so as a consequence of mental illness.
On Thursday, Trump claimed Debra was being held to a different standard in comparison to Roseanne Barr, who was fired from her TV show and eventually sold the rights to ABC for them to create the spin-off, The Conners.

As it was previously reported, Roseanne’s show on ABC was canceled last year in the summertime due to tweets she made regarding the former Barack Obama adviser, Valerie Jarrett. Roseanne took to her Twitter to compare Valerie to “Planet of the Apes” and the “Muslim Brotherhood.”
Bad “actress” Debra The Mess Messing is in hot water. She wants to create a “Blacklist” of Trump supporters, & is being accused of McCarthyism. Is also being accused of being a Racist because of the terrible things she said about blacks and mental illness. If Roseanne Barr….

Donald, on Twitter today, said: “will fake news NBC allow a McCarthy style Racist to continue?” Previously, Messing asked for the names of people attending the Beverly Hills event for the president to be made public.
On the 2nd of September, 2019, CBS News reported that the 71st annual Emmy Awards and a fundraiser for the president were going on at the same time. Debra Messing took to her Twitter to ask for a list of the fundraiser attendees, which led to the president castigating her online.
Debra tweeted to The Hollywood Reporter an article speaking on the fundraiser, asking for them to release the names of all the people going.
For the most part, the social media reaction to the request was negative and widespread, although, some people in the entertainment industry were receptive.
The day after her tweet, the president responded by claiming that when Donald Trump hosted The Apprentice in the mid-2000s, Debra once came up to him and referred to him as “Sir,” insinuating a lot has changed since then. In response, Debra took the opportunity to address the El Paso, Texas, shooting, for which she laid the responsibility on Trump, to “ban assault weapons.”
