Dorinda Medley Announces Departure From RHONY -- Fans Are Heartbroken

After losing Tinsley Mortimer to her happily ever after with on-again off-again boyfriend-turned fiance, Real Housewives of New York fans were ready for a cast shake up — but not in this form. The RHONY ladies are down one fan-favorite — Dorinda Medley.

Dorinda had a controversial season where some people felt that she was a bully with drinking problems and others felt that shew as just dealing with the loss of her ex-husband who passed away.

Either way, no one expected her to leave the show.

Medley took to Instagram this morning where she made the shocking announcement.

‘What a journey this has been. I have laughed and cried and tried to Make it Nice… But all things must come to an end. This was a great outlet for me to heal when my late husband Richard passed away. I have met so many interesting people and learned so much about myself, about life and about women along the way. Thank you to Bravo and NBC for the incredible ride and to my cast mates for constant stimulation and entertainment. I wish you all health, happiness and success. Clip! Dorinda.‘

Fans of the show were upset to see her leave. Many expressed that they would have liked for it to be Ramona Singer instead.

‘This is f***** horrible. We wanted RAMONA OUT not Dorinda! She needed that redemption season!’ commented one fan on the Bravo TV Instagram page.

This comes after Andy Cohen spoke about new Housewives that will be joining the next season of RHONY.

In the upcoming installments of most of the Real Housewives franchises, there will be more diversity across the board.
