According to JustJared.com, Ellen Page recently broke down on live television in front of Stephen Colbert. On the 31st of January, the Juno alum sat down with the host of The Late Show and condemned Donald Trump following the attack on Empire star, Jussie Smollett.

During her time on Stephen’s show, Ellen said, “Sorry, I’m like really fired up tonight,” before going on to talk about all of the things that have been bothering her lately. According to Page, the vice president of the United States, Mike Pence, believes she shouldn’t be allowed to have a wife.

The Juno alum claims that while he was the governor of Indiana, he did so much harm to LGBTQ, including the promotion of “conversion therapy,” and also the idea that gay marriage shouldn’t be allowed, period. You can check out the tweet from Stephen Colbert below:

Page alleged that Pence, as well as Donald Trump, have created careers for themselves by hating other people and causing suffering.

Page went on to say that people would be abused and beaten, and it all “needed to f*cking stop.” As most know, Ellen is a vocal advocate for the rights of LGBTQ people all over the United States and the world. She was also one of the primary accusers of Brett Ratner, who supposedly acted “homophobic” to her on set one day.

Brett allegedly said to Page on set that another female cast member should try and have sex with her so she’d know she was gay. Later on, in the midst of the #MeToo movement, Page said the words spoken by Ratner were emblematic of homophobia.

The idea of him outing her as a gay person, while she didn’t know that about herself, was an act of homophobia in itself. Ironically, Page is actually gay and didn’t know that about herself at the time.

Stephen Colbert, on the other hand, has been a vociferous critic of Trump ever since he first was inaugurated as the president back in January of 2017. Viewers of his program will remember his infamous tirade in which he referred to Trump’s mouth as a “c*ck holster” for Vladimir Putin.
