Emma Stone is engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Dave McCary. The Oscar-winning actress and her fiancé shared their happy news on Instagram on Wednesday.

There was no caption needed for the photo of Stone and McCary, both smiling and her flashing her gorgeous ring. The picture announcing their news was shared on his Instagram feed. She is not on social media.

Stone and McCary are an extremely private couple. The 31-year-old actress was first spotted with the Saturday Night Live writer and segment director in November 2017. Neither one of them has ever confirmed the romance or even spoken about their love publicly.

A source close to the newly engaged couple did confirm their relationship to People magazine in October 2017. The insider claimed at the time that McCary and Stone had been dating for at least three months. They reportedly met when the La La Land actress hosted SNL, at the end of 2016. McCary directed and wrote the sketch Wells for Boys, which Stone played a part in.

She may not talk about her soon to be husband, but Stone is fully supportive of his career. Stone was on hand at the premiere of McCary’s feature directorial debut Brigsby Bear in July 2017. The couple loves hanging out in New York City and are often spotted grabbing dinner, as well as attending industry events.

Before her two-year relationship with McCary, Stone dated her The Amazing Spider-Man costar, Andrew Garfield, for four years. They called it quits in 2015, but both insisted there was no drama.

It was a mutual split. She even visited her ex-boyfriend when he starred in the 25th-anniversary revival of Angels in America at the National Theatre in London a couple of years ago.
