Eva Mendes Says She Never Wanted Kids Until She Fell For Ryan Gosling

According to Eva Mendes, she never even wanted to be a mother until she fell in love with Ryan Gosling. Page Six picked up on a new interview featuring Mendes this week in which she reflected on her choice to become a mother after meeting Ryan, The Big Short, alum.
During her interview on Australia’s Nova 96.9 this Thursday, Eva explained to the hosts that she never “wanted babies” until she met Ryan. The star said it all worked out so that she was 40-years-old when she had her first child.
Mendes, the Once Upon A Time In Mexico star, claimed she was always focused on her acting career before meeting Ryan, but everything came together for her in a natural way once she and Gosling, 39, started getting more serious about their relationship.
The star went on to say she was 42-years-old for her second child, and at that time, she had already fostered a career for herself in the entertainment industry, and it worked out so Eva was able to focus on family afterward.
As most know, Mendes has two kids with Gosling, Amada, 4, and Esmeralda, 6, and she took time off from her acting career to take care of them. These days, however, she’s ready to start getting back in front of the camera.

The Other Guys alum said she is “definitely” thinking about going back to acting, and now that her kids are a bit older and they don’t need her as much, it’s the perfect time to dive into the business again. Mendes went on to say that it has never been her intention to say it’s an “either/or” situation. Women can do both.
“I feel like it’s time,” Mendes remarked, adding that the list of roles she’s able to do is only getting shorter as times passes. Mendes admits she doesn’t want to do anything violent, however.
As most know, the actress and Gosling have been together since 2011 after meeting on The Place Beyond The Pines. The movie was a critical and commercial success for both of them.
