Former Counting On Star Jill Duggar Drops Major Adoption News

Jill Duggar is about to expand her family. The former Counting On star just announced plans to adopt a child with her husband, Derick Dillard. Jill announced the exciting news on Instagram alongside a photo of her two sons, Israel and Samuel.

Jill started the conversation by sharing a note about adoption on social media. The reality star encouraged her followers to consider adoption instead of abortion and shared contact information for a hotline for anyone interested in learning more.

Some fans took issue with the post and asked Jill if she would adopt any of the children she believes women should be forced to have.

“Yes,” Jill responded.

According to OK Magazine, the post seemingly confirms that Jill and her husband are planning to adopt. Jill has not said anything further about the issue, but she may have good reason to turn to adoption. Jill’s first two children were delivered via C-sections and having a third the same way comes with a good share of health risks.

It is possible that Jill is not willing to have any more children because of the serious risks involved. But given how the Duggar children are taught by their parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, to have as many kids as possible, it is not unreasonable to think Jill wants more children. This could be why Jill is considering adoption, though she has yet to say anything further on the matter.

With Jill and Dillard no longer appearing on Counting On, it might be a while before we get another update on the adoption process.

As fans will recall, Dillard was booted from the show after making controversial remarks on social media about the transgender community. Jill Duggar left the series a few months later in support of her husband.
