After Terry Crews denied ever hearing any racist comments while on the set of AGT, Gabrielle Union is clapping back! Not only that but the former judge panel member also accused him of telling lies that ‘no one disputed!’
It turns out that Gabrielle could not help but clap back after Terry stated he never witnessed any racism on set while they were working together on America’s Got Talent.
Terry, who currently hosts the talent show defended it during an interview on Today, prompting Gabrielle, who did not have her contract renewed, to clap back.
While she never name dropped him, it’s pretty clear from her post who she was talking about.
As you may know, this comes after Gabrielle was allegedly fired from the show for speaking up against overt racism behind the cameras.
Then, yesterday, one fan sent the star a lot of ‘love and support’ and in response, Gabrielle wrote: ‘Thank u! Cuz girlllllll 😐 Truth telling, wanting change and having MULTIPLE witnesses who came forward to let EVERYONE know I did not lie or exaggerate, really exposes those who will throw you under the bus, forgetting quickly who stepped up for THEIR truth.’
In a follow up tweet, she also noted that she’d kept generally quiet about the controversy amid the investigation.
But after what Terry did, she was obviously ready to break her silence as well!
‘Maaaaaan… We all agreed to let this investigation be completed before speaking out but if we doing this… ohhhhh baby let’s gooooooooooo. Why anybody would gleefully go on TV and tell lies NO ONE disputed… But we already know,’ she wrote, seemingly making reference to his interview, once again.
In case you haven’t watched it yet, Terry said in part that while he can’t say anything about the supposed sexism on set since he is not a woman, he insisted that racism ‘was never my experience. In fact, it was the most diverse place that I have ever been in my 20 years of entertainment.’
