On Sunday, the 23rd of February, Gigi Hadid went to bat for her man, Zayn Malik, after Jake Paul accused him of being a “little guy” with an “attitude” on Twitter. Us Magazine picked up on the tweet from Gigi Hadid explaining that Zayn just didn’t want to hang around Paul and his “embarrassing YouTube groupies.”
This past weekend, Paul and Zayn reportedly had a brief confrontation in which Zayn yelled at him. Reportedly, Paul and Malik attended the Deontay Wilder versus Tyson Fury match in Las Vegas. A few hours after the fight finished, Paul went on his Twitter to accuse Malik of being “angry.”
Paul finished off his tweet, where he said he almost had “to clap him up,” with the message, “stop being angry cause u came home alone to ur big a** hotel room haha.” Around two hours later, Gigi accused Paul of being “irrelevant.”
In January, Us Weekly confirmed that Hadid and Malik were dating again following a year of separation. Rumors first kicked off after they were seen holding hands in New York City in January. An insider who spoke with the outlet claimed they had just gotten back together.
The source added that they had been trying to take it nice and slow for around three months. Around a month later, Gigi shouted out to Zayn for Valentine’s Day. As fans of the couple know, they’ve been in an intermittent relationship since November of 2015.
After Gigi and Zayn first broke up, Malik, who first came to prominence as a member of the boy-band, One Direction, practically disappeared from the limelight. Fans online claim he refused to do press and interviews, and that was the reason for the subsequent commercial failure of his second album, Icarus Falls.
Zayn’s second LP, released in 2018, only went to number 61 on the Billboard Albums chart, despite receiving a positive reception from critics. Earlier this month, Jake sparked the ire by some on social media for saying that anxiety disorder was an illness created by one’s own mind.
