Gina Rodriguez is reflecting on her five seasons on Jane The Virgin in a tearful goodbye message.
The CW show is airing its series finale tonight. Its star wanted one last chance to express how much the show meant to her, so earlier, Rodriguez used Instagram to write an emotional message.
“Jane the Virgin. Wow. We started shooting the first season of Jane in July 2014. A few days into shooting, I turned 30 on set. Yesterday I turned 35. And today is the very last episodes, 99 and 100 airing of Jane the Virgin. Five years. Five years of love, laughter, growth, pain, surprises, deaths, new births and a s–t ton of memories,” the Latina beauty began her thoughts.

Rodriguez catapulted to fame thanks to The CW show, where her character Jane gets pregnant in a bizarre twist of events that does not involve having sex. Those who have not watched the show really should binge-watch it. The CW drama has laughter, heart, lessons, family and of course, scandal.
“To my warriors who have supported me from day one, Thank you. I am able to live out my dream career because of you, and I will never stop making art to bring Joy and Laughter into your home/train ride/plane ride or classroom! Art is my savior. Art is what makes me feel like I can fly,” she continued.
Finally, the actress ended her message with a heartfelt note to her cast and the fans.
“Thank you to Jennie for making me your Jane and to the incredible cast for becoming my family. I will always love you Jane. Hope you tune in tonight and enjoy our goodbye! by my mentor and one of the best in the biz @bradsilberling,” Rodriguez closed.
It was a tough evening for Gina Rodriguez, as well as the entire Jane The Virgin cast and fans. After five seasons the show is taking its final bow.

Rodriguez was not the only one feeling emotional today. Her costar, Justin Baldoni, who plays her on-screen love interest Rafael also shared a sweet note on Instagram.
“Can’t believe this is it. “Tonight it ends. What a ride. Forgive me as I may be posting a lot today as I am feeling very sentimental (as usual). So much gratitude. What a journey this has been. What a family we have become. What a blessing,” he wrote.
Thanks for the memories Jane The Virgin! Fans will miss the cast, characters, and show immensely.
