Christmas has already come and gone and yet the pair did not get engaged, contrary to prior speculations. But the thing is – Gwen Stefani is actually relieved Blake Shelton did not pop the big question during the holiday. At least that is what a source tells HollywoodLife!

The insider dished that ‘Gwen is actually relieved that Blake did not propose during their Christmas celebrations. She truly wanted to make the day about her kids and the whole family, and felt like a proposal would’ve taken away from that. Gwen would not have liked making the day all about her when Christmas is supposed to be all about family.’

They went on to mention that ‘Gwen had the time of her life and felt so blessed being surrounded by all her loved ones that a marriage proposal was the last thing on her mind.’

Fans who keep up with the updates about the pair know all too well that, while Blake and Gwen are obviously made for each other, they are not in a hurry to tie the knot.

As for how Gwen’s Christmas ended up being, the singer’s followers were able to see her posts marking the festive day, and it was definitely filled with family time.

Blake, as well as her three sons, Zuma, Kingston, and Apollo, were all there, bringing cheer and creating fond memories together.

In fact, the celebration took place yesterday – one day after Christmas since the boys spent December 25 with their father, Gavin Rossdale instead.

Of course, that did not stop them from having the time of their lives one day late.
