Gwen Stefani is very grateful that she got the opportunity to headline her own Las Vegas residency! From the singer’s point of view, it is an experience she would never take for granted. Here’s why!
Stefani was in attendance at the ribbon cutting for Cure 4 the Kids Foundation’s state-of-the-art patient exam room in Vegas.
She just couldn’t miss it since they named it in her honor!
While at the celebration, she chatted with ET and discussed her residency.
The star admitted that it first felt pretty daunting to perform at the Zappos Theater, inside Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.
‘I get up and think, ‘What am I? Who am I? What am I doing? But then something just clicks in and I just have this need for attention from these people.’
She went on to explain that she totally loves ‘being up there every’ concert night but that is not to say it is an easy task.
‘It feels like a marathon! It’s so psychical, it’s so emotional, it’s so draining, but it’s so rewarding. I feel so honored…. It’s been pretty magic. I’m pretty lucky.’
Stefani made it very clear that there is a lot of pressure on an artist headlining a Las Vegas residency and it is quite intimidating but promised she can totally handle it!
‘Everyone is coming to you from all over the world and it’s just tall order. You’re up against Vegas, and all the other shows and all the other activities, and people like flew in and are having a weekend, and it’s a big deal. I feel really blessed. I know they’re not just handing [residency shows] out to anyone.’
