Gwyneth Paltrow Reportedly Played Key Role In Harvey Weinstein Take-Down - She Was One Of The First To Speak To Reporters

According to a report from Page Six, Gwyneth Paltrow played a significant role in the take-down of Harvey Weinstein. The two journalists who broke the story stated that Gwyneth was one of the first actresses to reveal the purported truth about Harvey.
Gwyneth, who once worked with Harvey in Shakespeare in Love, was one of the first women to reach out to the reporters from the New York Times, Jodi Kantor, and Megan Twohey. While on the Today Show on Monday, Twohey stated that one of the first actresses to participate fully was Paltrow.
The journalist stated that the Avengers alum was “determined to help the investigation.” According to the journalist, Twohey once showed up to Gwyneth’s party in the Hamptons and Gwyneth hid in the bathroom from fear when Harvey arrived.
Twohey stated to the hosts of Today that they believe Harvey was “extremely aware and extremely scared” of what the effects would be if one of his biggest stars spoke honestly about what was going on.

As it was previously reported, Gwyneth accused Harvey of sexually harassing her when she was 22-years-old. Harvey supposedly asked her for a massage. The star said she was “just a kid,” and was “petrified” of the incident.
Paltrow won the Academy Award for best actress in 1999 for her role in Shakespeare in Love. Some of the other stars to speak out on the Harvey Weinstein scandal was Ashley Judd, Rose McGowan, Asia Argento, and Angelina Jolie.
Following the reports from the New York Times and The New Yorker, Harvey’s credibility and reputation were completely obliterated overnight, and the producer is now facing off against charges of rape and sexual assault.
If Harvey is convicted for the charges, he’ll be the second Hollywood star to go to prison in the #MeToo era, following the guilty conviction and incarceration of Bill Cosby for drugging and sexually assaulting a Temple Unversity employee, Andrea Constand, in 2004. Harvey is currently awaiting his trial, which has been postponed twice.
