Online hackers have demanded a lump sum payment otherwise they’ll unleash Donald Trump’s “dirty laundry.” Reportedly, the group of hackers is looking to receive $42 million or else. They’re asking the ransom be paid by the ending of the week.
The hackers wrote in their ransom demands that the next person they’ll publish information on is the president of the United States, Donald Trump. Hot New Hip Hop picked up on the hacker’s note in which they pointed to the upcoming election.
They say they’ve got their hands on a “ton of dirty laundry,” and that voters definitely won’t consider Trump as a potential candidate following their leak of the sensitive information. The group of hackers goes by the name, REvil.
The last time they were in the media was for their acquisition of sensitive information from the entertainment firm Grubman Shire Meiselas and Sack.
It’s an entertainment firm that represents some of the biggest performing artists in the world right now including Nicki Minaj, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Mary J. Blige, Ella Mai, Mariah Carey, and Christina Aguilera.
At the time of the original unveiling, the firm said to NBC News that despite their technology and security equipment, foreign cyberterrorists hacked into their network. Grubman Shire Meiselas and Sack said they were working with the federal authorities to get to the bottom of it.
Regarding the information on Trump, REvil says they’ll be releasing the information slowly and gradually over time. They’ll start with the most innocuous information first.
Thus far, the social media reaction to the claims are mixed, with some describing them as mere “blind threats,” while others state that Trump has been able to avoid even the most catastrophic scandals and problems throughout his original campaign and eventual presidency.
As most know, public figures are commonly the target of hackers and other no-gooders. For instance, back in 2017, a friend of Kevin Hart attempted to blackmail him with video recordings of the stand-up comedian fooling around with another woman while his wife, Eniko Parrish, was at home.
