Halsey Slams Fans Who Ask To Take Pics With Her While Protesting - 'Don't Even Ask!'

It’s a protest, not a meet and greet! As you might know, Halsey has joined the Black Lives Matter protestors in the streets to fight for a better future with no more racism and police brutality but it looks like some people took this opportunity to ask her for selfies!

In response, the singer took to social media to make it very clear that she is not willing to take pictures with anyone at this time and requested that they stop asking!

‘Don’t even ask me, I won’t say yes. That’s not what this is about,’ the celeb tweeted.

The 25 year old artist has been at the frontlines of the protests taking place in Los Angeles in response to the senseless murder of George Floyd.

The black man lost his life after a police officer knelt on his neck for almost nine minutes, not releasing him even long after becoming unresponsive.

The singer is just one of many who have been outraged by another tragedy in the African-American community caused by police brutality.

In fact, the cause has resonated with people all over the world more than ever, thousands upon thousands of people outside the States protesting as well!

After Halsey’s post, many followers agreed with her request, commenting things like: ‘If you’re a fan of H and you see her protesting near you, respect her. March with her. Protest with her. Make your voice heard with her. Fight against racism with her. Scream out in anger with her.’ / ‘Everyone please listen to this!!!!! H is not there to do a meet and greet – she’s there along with everyone else to fight systematic racism.’

A third commenter wrote in all caps to suggest how irked they were about this: ‘F PEOPLE ARE GOING TO A PROTEST JUST BC THEY KNOW A CELEBRITY IS GOING TO BE THERE THAT’S ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.
