Harry Styles Apologizes Following Cancelation Of His Pre-Super Bowl Performance

On Friday night, Harry Styles had to cancel a performance due to terrible weather. Entertainment Tonight claims the former One Directioner’s show was supposed to kick off at the Island Gardens in Miami, Florida, however, it was postponed before Styles made it to the stage.

Pepsi, on their Twitter account, informed their followers that the Miami Fire Department had to cancel the performance on account of “extreme weather.” Reportedly, every fan that purchased tickets to his event had their money refunded.

To all attendees at the Pepsi Planet Zero Sugar Party, we have notified Ticketmaster and all refunds will be automatically issued to the method of payment used to make your purchase. We will also cover ride share costs from the show. Those details are on the way.

Additionally, Styles took to his own social media to apologize for all those who missed out on the show. Styles added he was disappointed it had to go down like that. To make matters worse, there was a lack of parking at the venue, so many fans of the pop star had to ride-share, leaving fans without transportation on the island.

As ordered by the Miami Fire Dept, Planet Pepsi Zero Sugar had to unfortunately be canceled due to extreme weather. This was a mandatory evacuation in Miami across special event venues. We are focused on ensuring everyone is safely evacuated. We deeply apologize to the fans.

Furthermore, fans online shared videos of barricades moving through the water as they tried to leave the facility. This wouldn’t be the first time concert-goers were left with the short end of the straw due to a canceled performance.

Back in 2017, social media images surfaced showing a sandwich in a styrofoam box at Fyre Festival, which was supposed to be marketed as a luxurious festival. (Admittedly, however, Harry’s canceled show was not as scandalous as the poorly-planned and ill-conceived Fyre Festival).

Around one year later, a documentary on Netflix exploring the disastrous event was streamed on the platform, showing the founder of Fyre Festival, Billy McFarland, and the questionable tactics he used to fund it.

The fraudulent music festival was promoted by many of the biggest social media influencers, including Emily Ratajkowski, Hailey Baldwin, Bella Hadid, and Kendall Jenner. Many of the aforementioned models never revealed they had been paid to promote the festival.

When the event finally kicked off, attendees experienced many problems related to the security of the event, including artist relations, medical services, accommodation, food, and security. Artists who were signed to show up were told not to come, including Blink-182, among others.

Famously, concert-goers, rather than receiving luxurious tents, had to stay in FEMA tents and ate pre-made sandwiches.
