According to a report from Fox News, Chris Pratt, one of the leading stars in the Guardians Of The Galaxy franchise, couldn’t be happier to work with James Gunn on the set of the next Guardians movie. Chris, who also has a role in Avengers: Endgame, said he was “thrilled” to work with Gunn.

As it was previously reported, Gunn was removed from his position back in July 2018 after his tweets surfaced in which he repeatedly made jokes about rape and pedophilia. At the time of the controversy, the Chairman of Walt Disney Studios, Alan Horn, said he had “severed (their) business relationship” with Gunn.

In March, the studio reversed the decision. Pratt, 39-years-old, said to reporters from People Magazine he was happy Disney made that decision, because James Gunn is a great director, and it’s an excellent way to finish the trilogy.

“I feel good about it,” the actor stated, adding that the Guardians Of The Galaxy movie is really about people from varying backgrounds, coming together to do good, for each other and others. Following Gunn’s firing, many of the cast members signed a petition in which they asked for Gunn’s reinstatement.

Around that time, James had apologized for making the jokes, stating that he was trying to be a provocateur as a comedian, and had since matured. “I have regretted them for many years since,” Gunn added, despite the fact he never even bothered to delete them.

Following the petition to rehire the director, Disney announced they would not only get him back on the set in the same position, but they would also use his script, as well. “I am tremendously grateful,” Gunn explained, “to every person out there who has supported me over the past few months.”
