Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen – Bravo’s version of a late night talk show – usually features Bravolebrities and other big names in the entertainment industry. But this week, the Bravo clubhouse is welcoming a surprise guest: former Secretary of State and Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton.
According to People magazine, this will be the first appearance on WWHL for the former First Lady, and it will be a one-on-one episode without any other guests.
“I’m pouring my fanciest tequila for Secretary Clinton, and look forward to making this a totally unique experience for her, and us,” said Cohen in a statement.
The 72-year-old will join the show for a one-hour discussion ahead of the premiere of Hillary, a four-part Hulu documentary about Clinton’s life. The special will cover everything from Clinton’s days growing up in Chicago to her failed run for president against Donald Trump in 2016.
Secretary Clinton is also launching a podcast later this year which will be co-produced by iHeartMedia. The show doesn’t have a name yet, but it will feature Clinton speaking with different guests, from world leaders to celebrities.
The expectation is that Clinton’s new podcast will premiere somewhere between the Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee that will take place in July and the 2020 presidential election in November.
As fans know, Watch What Happens Live usually features questions from viewers via social media and phone calls. Clinton will be answering viewer questions, but they must be submitted in advance via Bravo and WWHL’s social media platforms.

While Clinton is by far the biggest political name that Cohen has had on the show, he has visited with big name stars like Mariah Carey, Pink, Christina Aguilera, Cher, and Celine Dion.
In addition to her WWHL appearance, Clinton will be speaking at the Conversations About America’s Future series at South by Southwest later this month.
“The 2020 election is the most important election of our generation, and at SXSW our goal is to address the issues that affect the lives of all citizens,” said SXSW Chief Programming Officer Hugh Forrest. “We’re fortunate to have a young, diverse and engaged audience looking for solutions to the complex problems that face the next generation.”
Hillary Clinton’s appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen will take place March 5th on Bravo.
