It seems that T.I. cannot let go of his feud with his former protégée, Iggy Azalea. On Monday, Tiny Harris’ husband made an appearance on the Breakfast Club, where he once more slammed the Australian femcee.
According to T.I., Iggy turned her back on black people when she discovered that she had a massive following with white music listeners.
Note that T.I. was the executive producer of her debut album project, The New Classic, which launched her to stardom and gave her a top 5 album on the charts. Very soon after, the project dropped, the two artists part ways.
T.I.P. said this: “I feel like she was meant to be great. As far as I’m concerned, I feel like when she found out white people liked her and she didn’t really need black people to like her anymore, she switched up, started acting different, made moves that I wasn’t proud of, that kind of place my reputation in the line of fire. And she was very arrogant about it. … The raps were dope at first, you know what I mean? Of course, she had…help.”
Iggy was not pleased with the comments and jumped on Twitter for a series of tweets where she let him have it.
The “Fancy” artist wrote: “When will this guy shut up. The only song you ever were a part of making was “100.” Thank you for that, but you were NOT a part of the creative OR executive process on that album. Which is why I’ve always taken issue with you trying to approximate yourself with its success.”
She also explained: “Please move on and speak about an artist you are (hopefully) helping, and stop trying to bring me up for relevance. I don’t bring your ass up, NO ONE is asking about you. I’m trying to be nice because I genuinely have better and more. When will this guy shut up.”
She went on to say: “The only song you ever were a part of making was “100.” Thank you for that, but you were NOT a part of the creative OR executive process on that album. Which is why I’ve always taken issue with you trying to approximate yourself with its success.”
Iggy was not done: “But seeing a man speaking out of his a$$hole and blurting our one thing in public and another in private for years is really infuriating. Keep it pushing sweetie & worry about what your next storyline is for family hustle.”
She went on to say: “Right! Let’s talk about 2017 when you randomly walked into my session at paramount and tried to make a case as to the way I should “come back to hustle gang” please stop lying! And move on. I had to block your number the next day and change where I was recording.”
The diva concluded by: “He has NEVER helped me write a song other than 100. Check the writing credits. I don’t have ghostwriters, but do I write with multiple people on songs, especially big pop-leaning ones? Yes. I’ve never claimed otherwise. Look at the pub credits. It’s public information.”
Will T.I. let go?
