In an Instagram post, Witherspoon showed a humorous behind-the-scenes clip of her beauty team preparing for the Emmys.

The Morning Show on Apple TV+ earned 46-year-old Witherspoon an Emmy nomination for lead actress in a drama series. Her co-star Billy Crudup is up for supporting actor in a drama series, while Marcia Gay Harden is up for guest actress in a drama series, both for their work on the show.

Season 2 of the show, which Witherspoon also executive produces, premiered at the end of 2021 and has already been renewed for a third season. But this season, a new showrunner, Charlotte Stoudt, will be in charge.

According to a press statement from Stoudt, he is “thrilled” to be working with Apple TV+ and The Morning Show. The women in the cast, led by Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, are very stunning. Kerry, Mimi, and Michael, along with their colleagues at Media Res, Hello Sunshine, and Echo Films, have crafted a universe that is both delightful and challenging.

It was announced in a press release that Kerry Ehrin, the show’s creator and the showrunner for the first two seasons, would be staying on as a consultant for the third.
