Details of Meghan Markle’s new life as a mom have been hard to come by. But, five weeks after Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, welcomed Archie Harrison, royal expert Katie Nicholl says that motherhood for the Duchess of Sussex has led to a lot of sleepless nights.

Now that Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland, has returned home to the United States, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have hired a nanny – who had to sign a massive non-disclosure agreement – but that doesn’t mean they aren’t hands-on parents.

“Meghan’s been up in the night nursing, feeding on demand every few hours,” Nicholl revealed to Entertainment Tonight. “Apparently he’s a hungry little baby.”

Nicholl explained that being the mom of a newborn has officially put Markle in the “sleep deprivation society” just like Prince William predicted, and that could explain why she looked so tired during her appearance at Trooping the Color.

The royal expert also revealed that Markle has avoided the gym, and is enjoying spending time with her son instead of getting back into shape. Nicholl said there has been “no hard training” and “no weights.” Instead, Markle is “being gentle to herself.”

The former Suits actress wore a new ring beneath her engagement ring and wedding band during her recent public appearance that many people thought was a push present from Prince Harry. But, Nicholl says that Markle was wearing an eternity ring that Harry gave her for their first anniversary.

Markle is currently on maternity leave, but multiple reports claim that she will be attending Wimbledon next month at the All England Club in London. The grand slam tennis tournament last for two weeks, with the main event beginning July 1st.

Meghan Markle will also reportedly be the special guest editor for the September issue of British Vogue, and she will write an opinion piece and share some new pics from a photo shoot that will take place at Frogmore Cottage later this month.

This will not be the first time a member of the British royal family has dabbled in magazine publishing. Prince Charles has guest edited Country Life magazine twice – once in 2013 for his 65th birthday, and again in 2018 when he turned 70.
