Is Selena Gomez Drinking Too Much After Her Kidney Transplant?

Selena Gomez is one of America’s most beloved sweethearts. That’s why fans were terrified for the actress and singer when in 2017, it was learned that she suffered kidney failure and received a transplant. Her best friend, actress Francia Raisa, donated one of her very own kidneys to Selena in order to save her life. That gift was enormous and many people responded to the love that Selena and Francia shared and were convinced their friendship would endure a lifetime. According to a new report by Radar Online, things haven’t been going well for Selena and Francia and the article says alcohol is to blame. Simply, the article quotes a source who says Francia is angry that Selena is drinking too much and making unhealthy life choices.

According to the report, Selena and Francia haven’t even spoken to each other for over nine months!

Neither Selena nor Francia have gone public with information about the current state of their friendship.

Radar Online’s source stated the following.

“Selena did the exact opposite of what she said she was going to do when she got well again. She said she was not going to drink anymore, but she did.”

Selena has definitely had her share of public battles and has entered treatment several times. She frequently takes breaks from social media to work on her own health and well being. Selena celebrated her 27th birthday on July 22, 2019, and Francia Raisa turned 31 on July 26, 2019. The source went on to say that when Francia saw Selena making unhealthy life choices she didn’t sit back and keep it to herself, but confronted Selena. The move reportedly wasn’t welcomed by Selena and a fight ensued.

Though Radar reports that the two aren’t on the best terms right now, Francia’s actions were only done in love and there is great hope that the two will patch things up and move forward with their friendship.

Neither Francia Raisa or Selena Gomez made public birthday shout-outs to the other on social media.
