According to a report from Page Six, Ja Rule has entered a phase of his life with even more challenges. Reportedly, the 2000s rapper-turned-entrepreneur has already served time for tax evasion, and he’s now facing off against the IRS for an additional $2,000,000.

The website, Bossip, claims Ja Rule owes the federal government $2 million in back taxes due to prior transactions. The outlet claims the IRS issued a lien for approximately $443,442 in back taxes for 2016 in March of that same year.

Along with back taxes from the period between 2005 and 2008, in sum total, the rapper owes $2,031,753. Ja Rule’s fall from the graces of the entertainment industry has been quite public as well, with social media users, especially those on Twitter, frequently making fun of his very public problems.

Moreover, it doesn’t help that the rapper has had a long-standing feud with, 50 Cent, who has been making fun of him for ages. Recently, 50 Cent, also known as Curtis Jackson, went so far as to buy 200 seats at one of his shows just so that the first few rows would be empty.

On Twitter, 50 Cent claimed that “at $15 a pop,” he just had to do it. Additionally, Ja Rule found himself involved in the massive disaster-festival otherwise known as the Fyre Festival of 2016. The festival saw several thousands of people stranded on an island in the Bahamas.

Ja Rule had been working with the convicted fraudster, Billy McFarland. Currently, Mr. McFarland is serving his prison sentence for defrauding investors. Interestingly, Billy didn’t actually go to jail for misleading customers and leaving them stranded on an island, but rather for lying to investors.

In addition to his humiliating involvement in the Fyre Festival scandal, Ja Rule also received a 28-month prison sentence for tax evasion which he served along with a charge for gun possession.

Ja’s history, as well as 50 Cent’s feud with him, has made him a frequent target for people online. One can only hope he’ll soon figure out how to put all of this behind him.
