It’s been over two years since the greatest music festival that never was. After thousands of people bashed Ja Rule via social media, the rapper was put in the hot seat about his role in the FYRE fail.
While visiting Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the NY rapper was asked about his role in the infamous disaster. He was hesitant to explain further, but he insisted that he wants to plan another one.
‘Here’s the thing: I want to do it the right way with the right partners. Here’s what I happen to know. I have the biggest festival in the world even though it never happened. I mean, it’s like calling a ship the Titanic.’
He was also asked if he had talked to Billy McFarland since he’s been serving time to which Rule answered that he has not.

As far as whether he’s watched either of the competing documentaries surrounding the scam event — he claims that he has not seen it because he actually lived it.
The Growing Up Hip Hop star has maintained his innocence since the day that the failed Coachella started trending around the web.
In January, the reality star tweeted: ‘I love how ppl watch a doc and think they have all the answers. I had an amazing vision to create a festival like NO OTHER!!! I would NEVER SCAM or FRAUD anyone what sense does that make??? I too was hustled, scammed, bamboozled, hood winked, lead astray!!!’
It came after it was called into question why Ja Rule, who seemed to be an active participant in the shady dealings, was not thrown in jail right beside McFarland who was the brains of the operation.
Since then, Ja has launched the IConn app. The application claims to let you book talent from your phone.
Do you think the musician should move forward with planning another festival?
