According to a report from Variety, Jameela Jamil is calling out other social media influencers and entertainment industry figures. The actress is demanding that other influential people in the culture stop air-brushing their photos.

Jameela wrote on her Twitter account that she knows people in the industry are always criticized for the way they look, and for that reason it’s hard, but she’s “begging other influencers, actors, and models, to join me in not allowing airbrushing.”

Jamil acknowledged that she and other people in the industry are continuously complaining about the phenomenon but no one ever does anything about it. The actress stated that if they’re going to criticize people for it, then they have to meet the very same standards.

In the past, Jamil has been more than honest regarding her struggles with body positivity and body dysmorphia. Jamil isn’t the only celebrity to do so either. Chrissy Teigen is another star who posted pictures of her stretch marks stating, “I guess these just aren’t going to go away. This is my body.”

Back in 2018, Jameela also started a social media movement called, “#IWeigh,” in which she implored others to redefine what it means for them to feel valued as an individual. Moreover, Jamil’s principles have led her to criticize others as well, including Scarlett Johansson and Khloe Kardashian.

Speaking with reporters from Variety at Comic-Con this year in July, Jamil said all she was asking for was for influencers and other entertainment figures to stop marketing pharmaceuticals to children.

Previously, the star also took aim at Khloe Kardashian for promoting products which Jamil described as being non-FDA approved and potentially dangerous. Jamil insinuated that Khloe was withholding information about her diet, nutrition, and even supposed plastic surgery, in an attempt to market products and make money.

Khloe actually addressed these criticisms in an interview with The New York Times. The Kardashian sister said she is more than honest about how much she works out, including the importance of good nutrition.
