It turns out that Jason Priestley is not nearly as affected as everyone else on the cast by BH90210’s cancellation. Apparently, the reboot ending after only one season did not get him too fazed.
As mentioned before, the same thing cannot be said about most of his co-stars, who really thought the show was back and here to stay for at least a few seasons.
During an interview with HollywoodLife, Jason shared his opinion on the whole thing, saying that ‘It’s the business of show, right? It’s not the first show I’ve been on that’s been canceled, and I’m sure it won’t be the last. So, I just, you know… It’s show business. It’s just the way it goes.’
The cast members were not the only ones disappointed by FOX’s decision to cancel the show!
Obviously, the fans are as well, which is why they are yet to give up hope that another network or a streaming service wiould pick it up and continue the storyline for at least one more season.
Regardless, Jason went on to nonchalantly say that ‘We’re all cagey old veterans. We have all been doing this a long time. And, I think everybody understood the decisions that were being made, and why they were being made. I mean, it was easy for me. I was already working on my other show, right? It was what it was, for me. And, as for everybody else, you sort of have to check in with them.’
Speaking of checking in, the actor revealed that the cast who starred in the original show almost three decades ago, still keep in touch, although mainly via text.
Still, Jason stressed that they actually text a lot and are still very close.
