Jax Taylor And Brittany Cartwright's Wedding Canceled? Vanderpump Rules Star Is Too Selfish Claims Brittany's Dad

Vanderpump Rules stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are currently in the middle of planning their wedding, but it appears that not everyone is onboard with the idea of the couple becoming husband and wife. In a preview of next week’s VPR episode, Cartwright’s dad has a Come-to-Jesus meeting with Taylor about his history of infidelity.

In the clip, Cartwright and the female members of her family are getting her wedding dress, and at the same time, Cartwright’s dad is confronting Taylor about his past indiscretions.

Cartwright’s dad tells Taylor that “what’s important is faithfulness,” to which Taylor replies, “I love Brittany more than anything, but what’s important is I [got to] take care of this guy first.”

Taylor pointed to himself while adding, “So, I’m always going to be number one.”

Needless to say, this does not appear to sit well with Cartwright’s father.

This conversation follows Taylor and Cartwright’s dramatic therapy session that was part of the most recent episode of Vanderpump Rules. Cartwright told the therapist that her mom and meemaw love Taylor, and he can do no wrong in their eyes. She added that she was excited for Taylor to talk to her dad when the family flew in from Kentucky to attend her bridal shower.

This comment seemed to shock Taylor because he turned his head towards his fiancee and glared at her as he asked, “Talk about what?”

Cartwright explained that during their time in Kentucky, her family saw her and Taylor “fight a lot,” and her dad “had a hard time” when she took Taylor back after he cheated with former SUR employee, Faith Stowers.

The bride-to-be added that she wants her family to see how well they are doing now, and that’s really important for her.

After Cartwright’s admission during therapy about her father’s feelings, Taylor said that it was the first time he had heard about it.

Cartwright also admitted that she still has a problem when it comes to trusting Taylor.

“For me, it’s like, I know he’s done so much, and he has changed so much, and I do trust him again, but there’s still like a little bit of me that doesn’t trust him,” Cartwright reluctantly revealed. “I catch myself, like, if he’s an hour later than he’s supposed to be, being like, ‘Where is he? What is he doing?’ And I shouldn’t. I don’t want to do that.”

Jax Taylor said that it was stressful for him to know that Brittany Cartwright is still working on her trust issues, and Cartwright said that since they were “gonna get married and stuff,” she doesn’t want to have any “what ifs.”
