According to a report from USAToday, Jay-Z is less impressed with The Avengers and more thrilled with the legacy of Nipsey Hussle, the rapper who was shot and killed in the final day of March, earlier this year.
In the midst of the latest film destroying box office records, Jay-Z was on stage igniting a feud between himself and the superheroes. In the middle of his B-Sides 2 performance, the legendary rapper thanked the crowd for being there.
The star said people showing up for the show meant a lot to him, and “I know the Avengers is playing in a theater down the block and all, but the Avengers aren’t even real.” The twenty-five-hundred-person venue was easily the smallest show for the rapper in several years, who has grown accustomed to stadiums and other massive performances with his wife.

The moment of the night perhaps most emotional was when Jay-Z began his tribute to the rapper, Nipsey Hussle, who, as it was noted above, died in March. The Victory Lap rapper was rushed to the hospital after getting shot in the torso and head.
Nipsey was known in the hip-hop community for acting as a positive role model for the youth and doing other good things for his community. These days, Jay and Bey are continuing to release content, including his wife who just signed a three-picture deal with Netflix and began screening Homecoming.
The documentary shared Bey’s experience as she was gearing up for her 2018 Coachella performance. In the film, she shared what it was like to prepare, including her fitness and nutrition regimen, as well as featuring her children on camera for the first time.
Moreover, last year, Bey and Jay released their collaborative effort, Everything is Love, which followed the critically acclaimed 4:44 in 2017. Jay’s album came first on his streaming platform, TIDAL, which he later sold to the telecommunications company, Sprint, for approximately $200,000,000.
The sale of the company put Jay in the list of most wealthy rappers of all time, among other giants such as P. Diddy and Birdman.
