Jeff Bridges Provides An Update On His Cancer Battle — Shows Off Shaved Head

Jeff Bridges shocked the world when on October 17, 2020, he revealed his cancer diagnosis and has provided an update on his treatment. Posting on his official Twitter account, Jeff, who just celebrated his 71st birthday on December 4, 2020, showed off his shaved head as he is in the midst of treatment for lymphoma — that is a cancer of the lymphatic system, the body’s system for fighting infections through the spleen, bone marrow, thymus gland, and lymph nodes.

Jeff appeared to be in good spirits as she smiled at the camera and held an adorable labradoodle puppy on his lap. Jeff revealed the adorable pup’s name is Monty. Jeff posted the following.

He gave a sweet shoutout to his childhood friend John Goodwin who is a musician and spoke about how important it is to support those who have been impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic. He also provided a throwback photo featuring Jeff and John from their childhood.

He also raised awareness for the non-profit organization No Kid Hungry, the non-profit organization for whom Corey Feldman, Josh Gad, Sean Astin, and the cast of The Goonies just held a live, script reading/virtual fundraiser.

Back in October, Jeff Bridges wrote the following on Twitter where he announced his cancer diagnosis.

As the Dude would say…New S**T has come to light. I have been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good. I’m starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery.
