Jennifer Lopez’s wedding plans with Alex Rodriguez have been put on hold because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the entertainer has admitted that she is “a little heartbroken” that things are “on hold.” During an appearance on The Today Show this week, the Love Don’t Cost A Thing singer gave fans an update on her highly-anticipated wedding with the former Major League Baseball player.
“Nobody knows. There’s no planning right now. You just have to kind of wait and see how this all plays out. You know, it’s disappointing on one level,” said Lopez. “After the Super Bowl and after World of Dance, after we finished filming it, I planned to take time off which is what we’re doing right now. But at the same time, we had a lot of plans for this summer and this year but everything is kind of on hold right now.”

Lopez added that she’s “a little heartbroken” because she and Rodriguez had “some great plans,” but she has accepted that things had to change. The Hustlers actress believes that God has a bigger plan, and she just has to wait and see and hope that it will be even better than what she had in mind.
Rodriguez popped the question to Lopez in March 2019 during a romantic getaway, and it seems like they had a summer 2020 wedding planned. The couple never revealed their wedding date, but in April, Lopez admitted on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that the COVID-19 pandemic had affected her wedding plans “a little bit.”
At the time, Lopez said she didn’t know how things would play out or what her wedding date would be. She explained that she and Rodriguez were “in a holding pattern like the rest of the world.”

The 50-year-old noted that she and Rodriguez would have to wait a few months to see how the pandemic situation would pan out before they could move forward with their wedding plans.
In the meantime, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have been sheltering in place in California with her 12-year-old twins, Max and Emme (who she shares with ex-husband, Marc Anthony), and his two daughters from a previous relationship: Natasha, 15, and Ella, 12.
