Beloved Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek is back at work after finishing chemotherapy for Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer.
Last May when Trebek signed off the hit game show he has hosted for over three decades, he promised fans he would be back in the fall. It looks like he is keeping his word. Promotional materials for the 36th season of the syndicated game show have Trebek revealing he is moving forward with his life and is excited to be back in the studio.
“I’ve gone through a lot of chemotherapy, and thankfully, that is now over. I’m on the mend, and that’s all I can hope for right now,” he shared in a video message that also included a birthday cake for Trebek, who turned 79 on July 22nd.

Along with a birthday cake and announcement he has finished his chemotherapy, Trekbek also shared there are exciting things to come for fans.
“We have some exciting things coming up [this season], and I can’t wait to share them with all of you. Let me tell you. It’s going to be a good year,” the TV personality said in the video.
The Jeopardy! promotional video footage is the latest good news for the host. Despite the grim pancreatic cancer diagnosis last spring, Trebek has remained upbeat and positive throughout his entire ordeal.
“Now normally, the prognosis for this is not very encouraging, but I’m going to fight this, and I’m going to keep working. And with the love and support of my family and friends and with the help of your prayers also, I plan to beat the low survival rate statistics for this disease,” Trebek said last April.

Even though he was fighting for his life, Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek has managed to keep doing the job he loves. In May he gave fans a hopeful update letting his people know the doctors had not seen such prognosis.
Trebek has not revealed what is next for him in terms of his pancreatic cancer fight. For now, he is looking forward to putting back on his hosting shoes and hopefully awarding a few of the game show contestants some major cash.
Fans can see for themselves how good and happy Trebek is when Jeopardy! returns on September 9th. Will you be tuning in to view the famed host back at work?
