Jeremy Renner and his ex-wife Sonni Pacheco are in a heated custody battle over their daughter.

The war began on Tuesday when Pacheco filed court documents seeking sole legal and physical custody of 6-year-old, Ava. She is also asking the court to require Renner to be supervised during his visits with the little girl.

Today the actor filed his own paperwork in Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles. Renner is firing back by asking for basically the same thing. He too wants sole custody of Ava and is requiring Pacheco have monitored visits.

The Avengers star and the Canadian actress quietly wed in 2014. Their marriage only lasted a few months with Pacheco filing for divorce later that year. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for dissolving the marriage.

TMZ is reporting both Pacheco and Renner want the courts to revise their previous custody agreement, which gave them joint custody of the little girl. The documents obtained by the website don’t indicate what triggered the change of heart from both parties.

In the past, Pacheco had called out Renner for his gun collection. She claimed he put their daughter at risk when he left one gun out in the open. The actor denied all allegations. He even went as far as to call his ex a liar.

Before Renner filed his papers for sole custody, a hearing was scheduled for November 7th to hear Pacheco’s case. She reportedly has sufficient evidence to support her case.

However, now that both parents are requesting a change in the custody arrangement, it is unclear if that hearing is still on the books. Neither Renner nor Pacheco has responded to custody battle reports.
