Last week, Jessica Simpson celebrated her daughter Birdie Mae hitting the six-month mark, and now she is celebrating a dramatic 100-pound weight loss. Simpson took to Instagram on Tuesday to share her amazing transformation as she left for her first trip away from her youngest daughter.
Simpson posted two pics on Instagram and wrote in the caption that she weighed in at 240 pounds back in March when she gave birth to Birdie Mae. Now she is 100 pounds lighter, and she says it was emotional to take her first trip away from her six-month-old, but she is proud to feel like herself again.
“Even when it felt impossible, I chose to work harder,” wrote Simspon.
In the pics, Simpson wore a long-sleeved black dress with a belted waist, and she accessorized with black boots, a black bag, and large square-shaped sunglasses.
The former Weight Watchers ambassador posed by herself in the first pic, and in the second she held Birdie Mae as they both smiled for the camera. Simpson wore her long blond hair down and kept her makeup simple with some blush and nude lip color.
In the comments, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards wrote, “Gorgeous,” and news anchor Katie Couric added: “You look amazing.” Mad Men star January Jones also commented on Simpson’s weight loss, writing, “Wowza lady, you look [fine].”
Simpson and her husband, former NFL star Eric Johnson, married in 2014. In addition to Birdie Mae, they are the parents of seven-year-old Maxwell Drew and six-year-old Ace Knute.
From 2002 to 2006, Simpson was married to former 98 Degrees star Nick Lachey. And after their Emmy-nominated reality show Newlyweds ended, Simpson revealed that being a reality TV star made her think about how much of her private life she really wants to share.
She ended up keeping her divorce from Lachey extremely private, but ever since she married Johnson, Simpson has started to share more about her family. And, she isn’t quiet about how much she loves her husband.
“I just think there is a level of love that has reached the highest of high. Eric and I have both been married before, so we took our time finding the right person. When we found each other, we knew it had to be forever,” Jessica Simpson told Us Weekly.
