Jim Carrey is one of the very few actors who have such an extensive list of iconic characters under their belts. But despite this, it turns out that the star is not interested in revisiting any of them!

It sounds like Carrey would rather not look back to the past as far as his career is concerned.

Earlier today, while in attendance at CinemaCon at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Jim Carrey chatted with ET and opened up about three of his most iconic movies – The Mask, Dumb and Dumber and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective – celebrating their 25th anniversary since they were all released in 1994.

The news outlet wondered if he was considering bringing back any of them to celebrate the milestone, but Carrey made it very clear fans should not get their hopes up.

‘Oh, I’m bringing nothing back. No, no, no, I’m moving forward,’ he simply said.

As you may know, there was a sequel to Ace Ventura: Pet Detective in 1995, titled Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls.

That being said, he even brought back another classic, Dumb and Dumber, more recently, in 2014!

Yes, it came back after two decades so it’s no surprise people have been hoping the same would happen with other of his titles as well.

However, Carrey is not willing to repeat the experience.

He went on to explain that: ‘The only thing is, you get a lot of pressure from people you know to bring things back, and then you do, and they go, ‘OK, I just wanted you to do something.’’

Besides, he’s been busy doing ‘tons’ of new project these days so you can look forward to that!
