Carrey’s book has been described as a “fearless and semi-autobiographical deconstruction of persona,” which purports to address topics such as privilege, celebrity, agents, Hollywood, and more.

Moreover, the book has been described as believing the “cataclysmic ending of the world” is looming. Jim co-wrote the book with the novelist, Dana Vachon, with Sonny Mehta, serving as the editor in chief of Knopf. In a statement, Sonny wrote that Jim’s book is incredibly “revealing.

Furthermore, the book has been described as “highly entertaining” as well as a look “inside the mind of an artist,” including the “life that shaped him” and the reality he lives in today. Jim, who intends on doing a book tour as well as appear on numerous programs, stated that “none of this is real and all of it is true.”
