Jim Edmonds Reveals He's Going To Be A Grandpa Amid Divorce From Meghan King Edmonds

Jim Edmonds, the estranged husband of former Real Housewives of Orange County star Megan King, has revealed that he’s going to be a grandfather for the first time. Edmonds shared the news on Instagram this week after visiting his two oldest children – Hayley and Lauren Edmonds – in California with his new girlfriend, Kortnie O’Connor.

“It was a crazy weekend of celebrating life, death and a new addition to the family,” Edmonds wrote. “Feeling very grateful for every moment of life. Congrats Lauren and Dylan. 3 out of 4 wins for gender battle lol Hayley.”

According to Page Six, Lauren revealed in May via an Instagram post on her private account that she was expecting her first child, and Hayley shared the news on her page. However, Hayley has since deleted that post.

Jim has also set his Instagram account to private since sharing the baby news via a series of pics from his California trip. In the photos, the family appeared to be at a gender reveal with confetti cannons, but they released both pink and blue papers. It wasn’t until Lauren – who married her husband Dylan two years ago – bit into a cupcake (shared in a separate post) and revealed the pink filling inside that they discovered she was having a baby girl.

“I’m so happy for Lauren and Dylan and excited to have a granddaughter on the way,” said Jim. “Between all my kids and this new addition, I’m pretty close to having a full baseball team!”

Jim shares his two oldest daughters with his first wife, LeeAnn Edmonds-Horton, who died in July 2015 after a battle with cancer. Fans of Real Housewives of Orange County might remember LeeAnn’s appearance on the Bravo show with Hayley, Jim, and Meghan during Meghan’s three-season run as a full-time cast member.

The St. Louis Cardinals hall of famer also has two kids – Landon and Sutton – with his second wife, Allison Raski. And, Jim and Meghan share three children: Aspen, 3, and twins Hart and Hayes, 2.

As Jim Edmonds looks forward to becoming a grandpa, he is going through a nasty divorce with Meghan King. She recently challenged the prenuptial agreement she signed before they tied the knot in October 2014, but Jim’s rep says that it is “valid, enforceable and generous” and they expect the judge to uphold it.
